More animals...

I seem to be on an animal kick lately.  Here are a few of Jack lying on Robby's chest.

I love this one.

I love paws.

And this is Elliot who is from the SPCA of Tompkins County.  The picture was taken after the March for the Animals.

And this is Gabe, my dog-in-law.

And this is Kodo who is a new member of the extended Bowles family.

The Feather

"The feather" is the favored toy around our house.  It tends to make our kitties crazy.  Here are some action shots.

This one is Robby's favorite.  I think some funny captions could be added.

Amanda's house...but not actually her house

These are Amanda's animals.  Scout is the dog and Charlie is the cat.  Both are girls.

During photo shoot:

Rachel:  Wow, Scout has big ears.
Amanda:  Well that's the understatement of the century.

I like how gentle her face is.

And here's Charlie - AKA Charles

Dignified

....and undignified.

I really want to photograph animals.  The last picture of Charlie is one of my favorites.

Alaska, but don't get excited

With all my frequent trips, Alaska has become sort of regular for me.  The beauty is still breath-taking, but I don't have that urgent need to photograph the mountains because I might never see them again.  In reality, it will probably only be another six weeks before I see them again.  So on my last trip, I photographed things that are more ordinary, but are beautiful or significant to me.  Oh and I've also discovered that I don't like doing landscape photography and I'm not good at it.

This is the COB building, which is where I spend most of my time.  I'm not good at making buildings look really cool like Robby is so this is just an informative picture.  The little blue car on the left was my rental.

This is the view from the COB building.  The hospital is on the left.  The Idiarod competators go right by here.

These are rocks.  They are the rocks outside the COB building.  I like them best when I'm not wearing heels.

My hotel had really beautiful flower out front...

And for some reason I'd really like to be able to photograph grass.  This is my first attempt and there's definitely room for improvement.

Taughannock - this shoot was sort of a dud

Here's my photography buddy.  I think he's cute.

And I feel sort of obligated to include a picture of the falls...

Ithaca is Falls....wait is that how it goes?

My mom and grandmother came to visit me in Ithaca so we made the rounds.  Here's some of what we saw...

First we picnic-ed at Stewart Park.  This is a burger's eye view. :)

I thought this picture was kind of boring, but Robby liked it.

Then we went to the Ithaca Falls.  I did not take this picture.

Of course we made a stop at the quilt shop.

Then off to Buttermilk Falls

The falls were pretty much dry so I took pictures of other stuff...

And finally we ended our tour at Treman

something new

I have never done a blog before (except for the blog I created a couple weeks ago and ditched before ever posting).  I'm expecting this to be a photo journal more than anything.

These first pictures are from the first shoot that Robby and I did with his new camera.  Here are some of the pictures I liked.

And who doesn't like spiders??

Maybe he (she??) didn't like me...

One of Cornell's buildings

...and something pretty.
